Emergency Supply Service/Urgent Repeat Medicines Service: January, February and March In-Hours Extension to Support Winter Planning

Emergency Supply Service/Urgent Repeat Medicines Service: January, February and March In-Hours Extension to Support Winter Planning

December 21, 2017

As you will be aware, in-hours extensions to the service offered by community pharmacies have operated to cover very busy holiday periods. A further extension to support winter planning for January and February has been agreed by NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group.

The temporary extension of the local service will operate from 9.00am until 6.00pm on Monday 8th January through to Friday 30th March 2018. During this time pharmacists working in participating pharmacies during normal pharmacy opening hours will be able to supply a sufficient quantity of medication to Cornish residents (up to 5 days treatment) and to visitors to the area, to cover their duration of stay in Cornwall (up to 14 days treatment).
