Antibiotic Awareness Week and webinars

Antibiotic Awareness Week and webinars

November 16, 2016

Antibiotic Awareness Week (14th-18th Nov) & Day on 18th Nov

World Antibiotic Awareness Week runs for the whole of next week and incorporates European Antibiotic Awareness Day on Friday 18th November. Updated posters and leaflets will be coming out to GP practices and community hospitals as soon as possible. Please display these prominently in waiting areas to promote awareness of the need to protect antibiotics. Encourage patients and members of staff to sign up and make a pledge to become an antibiotic guardian at www.antibioticguardian.com – it only takes a couple of minutes!

TARGET antibiotic webinar series

Public Health England has worked to develop a series of 7 free TARGET antibiotics webinars. These highlight key easy actions that can be taken to help improve antibiotic prescribing.

The webinars are free and started running weekly, from the 2nd November 2016 through to 14th December 2016. The first two webinars are available to view on the website. The next webinar will be on “Managing Patient Expectations” on the 16th November.
